WASHINGTON COUNTY CONVENTION: The Washington County Democratic Party Convention for 2023 will be held at the Washington City Community Center on Saturday, May 6th at 3:00 p.m. This is our Organizing Convention held on odd years where we focus more on Party Officers and Local Candidates. The greatest impact on our lives happens during local political elections. Our delegates to the state convention will be elected at this county convention. These delegates will learn about our candidates for the UDP executive board including state chair, state vice-chair, state secretary and state treasurer. They will vote in the state elections on May 20th in Cedar City. We are now recruiting  Democrats to run in many city mayor and city council positions. Delegates are needed to vet these candidates and choose our nominee in case we have more than one Democrat running for the same seat.
